Our Story

How it all started...

Salt of the Earth Ministries traces its roots back to 1997 when Apostle Roderick W. Jackson and Elect Lady Chiara Jackson, along with four dedicated families, founded the ministry.  This marked the humble beginnings of Salt of the Earth Ministries.
The journey continued as Apostle Jackson sought a place for worship in Lawton, Oklahoma. Pastor Herschel of the Baptist Church on 38th Street graciously allowed them to hold their first service in their sanctuary after the morning service concluded. Over the next six months, the congregation grew, and the ministry flourished. Inspired by Luke 1:17 and Malachi 4:6, Apostle Jackson received a divine vision for Salt of the Earth Ministries.
Driven by faith and through prayer, he believed that God would grant them possession of the land. Deuteronomy 30:5 reinforced this conviction: “The Lord thy God will bring thee into a land which thy fathers possessed, and thou shalt possess it; and he will do thee good, and multiply thee above thy fathers.”

Expanding the vision...

Today, Salt of the Earth Ministries stands as a teaching ministry, training disciples of Christ. Over 18 years of ministry, they have witnessed countless lives transformed by the love of Christ. Their commitment to stewardship extends beyond spiritual matters—they have provided medical care, food, and clothing to those in need.
As they continue to serve, Salt of the Earth Ministries remains grateful for God’s blessings and looks forward to fulfilling their purpose in the community.
